On My Own, Alone 4 and 1/2 Stars
Bloodsport

Frank has lost his focus. While he was able to make his way to the final rounds of the kumite, his friend Ray was not so lucky and was critically injured by the man Frank must now fight. Frank travels into the city to clear his head and find the inner strength he needs to face the final round.

This is a good, classic flashback montage. It has our hero mostly just sitting there and thinking while we get to see shots from previous scenes. The only odd thing is that the song is a fairly hideous 80s love ballad which while it may have been taken seriously when the movie came out, it really hasn't aged well with time.

Beautiful Scene.

I loved this scene very much. The music playiing, really adds to the feeling of the movie. Frank's best friend Ray just got injured in a fight and now, Franks vows to get back at Chong Li for intentionally hurting him. Frank reminsces about many things, from the moment he shouts for Chong Li not to finish Ray to the argument he had with his girlfriend Jenny and finally, the words of his master, Shadoshi Tanaka. The scene then cuts to Frank practicing his meditation skills somewhere high above the beautiful city of Hong Kong. I love this scene so much, I watch it over and over again. My kid sister says that it brings a tear to her eye when she sees this scene. I agree, its beautiful and heartwarming at the same time.
