Josie (Jennifer Connelly), the daughter of the town's wealthiest man, is trying to leave home. After a botched shoplifting attempt at the local target, she meets Jim Dodge (Frank Whaley), the town liar. When the two discovered they are locked in the store overnight with two robbers, they discover there is an actual attraction between them.
