Jonathan Switcher (Andrew McCarthy) is a purposeless artist who briefly had a job building department store mannequins. Later, Jonathan gets a new job working nights at the department store where his creation is being displayed, only to discover it is now possessed by an ancient Egyptian (Kim Cattrall) who is in love with him.

Jonathan Switcher is still incredulous of mannequin-turned-enchanted-ancient-Egyptian Emmy but is already falling in love with her. The only problem is that he is the only one that can see her alive. Emmy is still learning about the modern world and Jonathon shows her all the new styles as they frolick through the department store.
