College ain't High School kid. Mitch plays the classic fish out of water, trying to learn the ropes at a new place with new rules. While all this is happening, Mitch is busy building a super laser, trying to figure out what the deal is with the crazy looking guy living in his closet, and meet women.
This montage pretty much describes my first months at college (except for the laser, closet guy, profs that talked to me, goldfish, cars, women coming in my room...). I go back and forth on whether this is a training montage or a building montage. Mitch has his spirit broken (training to live in the world) but he also works on the latter and has some success. Since the whole movie is about this laser, I'm declaring it a building montage.
