Rocky (Sylvester Stallone) is defeated by his toughest challenger (Mr. T) after Mickey (Burgess Meredith) dies before the fight. Out of his past, Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers) offers to train Rocky to be a perfect boxer so he can retake his championship.

Apollo Creed has been trying to help Rocky get back in shape so he can take his title back from Clubber Lang. The only problem is that Rocky's head isn't in the training. After an emotional talk with his wife, Rocky commits himself full force to training in one of the best montages of the genre.
