Scott's basketball team is losing yet another game. Scott gets fouled one too many times and the wolf finally breaks free, and it turns out the wolf got game. After the initial shock of Scott's transformation wears off, the school cheers on Scott and he proceeds to win the game almost single-handedly as the wolf and is an instant hero.

This montage is also the first time in the movie that we really see the wolf come out, so the audience is just as shocked as the crowd in the stands and may not be sure which direction the movie will take. But once Michael J. Fox starts slam dunking, you can see this is going to be a fun movie.
