Mox (James Van Der Beek) is the backup quarterback for the high school football team in a small Texan town where high school football is the official religion. When the star quarterback is injured, Mox must step up and face off against the overbearing coach (Jon Voight), the rest of the town, and the opposing teams.

Mox took his best players out for an all-night bender at the local strip club. Now, sleep-deprived and still drunk, they need to play a football game. While they try to suck it up and win, they just can't get it done and get their asses handed to them by the other team.
